Chang Chun Group is one of the largest high-tech chemical materials producers in Taiwan.
Having locations in several regions of the world, Chang Chun Group established Chang Chun (Arizona), LLC to be the United States branch of production.
Once built, the new plant will reside in Casa Grande, AZ.
Construction is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2024, and until then, Chang Chun (Arizona), LLC is operating in Chandler, AZ.
Position Summary The EHS Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and developing and implementing EHS programs to minimize risk and protect employees, the community, and the environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Field communications from local, state and federal regulatory agencies as required, and support EHS Manager in completion of compliance tasks with agencies.
Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Conduct EHS audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and address identified issues.
Provide EHS training and education to employees to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Coordinate occupational health screenings and ensure they are up-to-date (respiratory fit tests, etc.
) Maintain accurate and up to date EHS records and reports.
Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
Manage hazardous waste disposal and other EHS-related vendor relationships.
Stay up to date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Participate in industry groups and professional associations to stay informed of EHS trends and issues.
Implementation and maintenance of ISO14001 and ISO45001 system.
Perform additional tasks, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field.

years of experience in EHS management, preferably in the chemical manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Knowledge and understanding of EHS principles, policies, and procedures Familiarity with industry-specific EHS issues and best practices.
Experience in EHS program development, implementation, and management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Adaptability and willingness to work in a dynamic and evolving environment.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset to tackle challenges during the early stages.
Comfortable working in a construction environment before transitioning to factory operations.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Professional certification in EHS management (e.
g.
, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist).
Experience in chemical manufacturing or related industry.
Experience with EHS data management and analysis software.
Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory reporting.
Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
Experience with ISO 45001 compliance and safety management.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
Language proficiency in both English and Chinese will be beneficial but not mandatory.
Prior experience in construction, factory setup, or related fields is a plus, but not mandatory.
