School Health Assistant - Casa Grande
Summary:
Providing support in addressing the health needs of students; assisting in implementing the school health program; and providing appropriate care and/or referral for ill, medically fragile and/or injured students. Administers first aid and medication to students according to district policy and procedures.
o Will offer care for student illnesses and injuries
o Will notify student's guardian of visits to the Health Office
o Create an Arizona Health Record for each student
o Record immunizations, vision and hearing test results
o Maintain all prescription and non-prescription medication with proper security measures
o Maintain a clean and sanitized office
o Maintain and rotate supplies
o Complete weekly accident and health office visit reports for Administrator
o Attends monthly staff meetings
o Conduct hearing and vision screening
o Complete and send immunization and hearing reports to state
Qualifications:
o Medical Assistant certification or CNA or similar
o Prior school experience
o Ability to obtain IVP fingerprint clearance card upon hireEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
