Warehouse Supervisor

Position Description:
Package All is seeking a self-motivated, proactive Warehouse Supervisor with the ability to work the floor when necessary in a fast growing environment. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for managing and maintaining the everyday responsibilities of the Warehouse department, including monitoring shift schedules, meeting customer warehousing or delivery requirements, order accuracy, productivity levels, facility maintenance and the overall direction of the warehouse. It is expected that the Warehouse Supervisor lead the warehouse team to a safe environment by monitoring safe operation, proper maintenance, storage, and care of the equipment.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for conducting Employee Performance Reviews, document incorrect actions and coach for corrections for all Warehouse Personnel (Permanent/Temporary).
Direct and monitor day-to-day activities of the Warehouse, relating to: shipping, receiving, routing, maintenance, and making sure OSHA (local and state) requirements are met.
Generates warehouse productivity reports in regard to selection rates, receiving rates and accounts for all labor hours, both direct and indirect.
Provides both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs to warehouse equipment to ensure that the Warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution function.
Develops relationships with motor freight carriers and to negotiate best pricing to ensure the lowest costs incurred to the company.
Responsible for overseeing Drivers and Warehouse staff on the floor.
Responsible to troubleshoot and find solutions to assist in resolving warehouse issues that are reported.
Responsible for opening and/or closing the building. Including but not limited to building, disarming alarms, and open gates.
Responsible to make daily walk-through of the warehouse at the start/end of shift for damage and safety checks.
Ensures Drivers are on schedule and stays in touch to avoid issues that may cause delays in pickups and deliveries. Reports delays to appropriate department, as needed.
Responsible to monitor and maintain storage area by organizing floor space, recommending improvements.
Assist with Inventory management and control.
Responsible to review, sign off and turn in weekly time-cards.
Conduct daily/weekly shift meetings.
Additional
Responsibilities:
Makes themselves available to working the floor when needed and being on call in an event of shortness in staff.
Performs other duties and assignments as directed by Operations Manager.
Researches and presents new ideas to improve the warehouse operation.
Required skills and abilities:
Must have 4
years' experience in warehouse operations and equipment.
Must have at least 6 years of demonstrated supervisory and organizational skills.
Must have good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with warehouse, sales, purchasing and accounting personnel.
Should possess adequate computer skills to prepare proper reports.
Must be able to work well with others.
International shipping experience a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
